Taylor Stevenson are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport Administrator to join their team at their Markham Vale site.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to join a busy transport operation on a full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract.

Position: Transport Administrator
Location: Markham Vale
Salary: £13.79ph
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights, 6:00pm – 6:00am

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, ensuring accurate data management, effective communication, and smooth day-to-day transport operations. You will play a key role in supporting the success of the site by working to deadlines and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all POD (Proof of Delivery) and returns processes are completed in line with site procedures.
  • Book customer collections and complete all relevant documentation.
  • Arrange and process customer deliveries.
  • Investigate and resolve collection queries.
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is returned and follow up outstanding PODs.
  • Liaise with internal teams, other depots, hauliers, and external contacts.
  • Maintain accurate records through printing, filing, organising, and storing documentation.
  • Manage inbound customer diaries and schedules.
  • Monitor and update period-end spreadsheets.
  • Produce reports of outstanding PODs and communicate with hauliers to obtain missing paperwork.
  • Provide daily updates on outstanding PODs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous transport or logistics administration experience would be advantageous.
