Semi Senior/ Senior Accountant

Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a multi-disciplined professional service company who is looking for an experienced Semi Senior/ Senior accountant.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside highly experienced accountants and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee client bookkeeping
• Able to manage and take responsibility for own portfolio of clients
• Preparation of complex company financial statements
• Preparation of interim management accounts
• Preparation of personal tax returns
• Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
• Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
• Forecasts and business projections – not essential
• Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
• Train members of staff and allocate duties
• Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
• Payroll experience (desirable)
• Any other general accountancy/administrative work as required

Requirements-

• You must have at least 5 years working in an accountancy practice environment.
• Extensive experience of Xero is essential.
• Sage 50 & Quickbooks (advantage)
• Iris, Sage Business Cloud (advantage)
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Qualified by experience or part qualified ACA/ACCA.

Salary- dependant on experience, £27k-£35k

Monday to Friday, flexible hours but core hours of 10.30am-4pm
