Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a security company based in Ollerton who are looking for an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join their team.

They are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role is crucial in supporting the accounts payable function and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and software.

Duties

  • Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with data entry tasks related to accounts payable and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth communication regarding payments.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft for efficient ledger management.
  • Support the finance team with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
  • Analyse financial data as required to assist in decision-making processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within accounts payable or purchase ledger is required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyse financial information effectively and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm

Salary- £27k-£30k dependant on experience
