Job Summary
My client, one of the North West's most reputable Logistics Training Organisations, is now looking to recruit additional Business Development Managers into their core NW locations.

These roles are tasked to build and maintain relationships with various employers across the region covering a large range of different sectors.
You will help the business to promote their fully funded training programmes, apprenticeships and employer led training offerings.
Specialisms include Transport (Driver & CPC Training), Logistics, Business Administration & Customer Service courses.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the organisation’s client base.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and optimise outreach efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in business development or sales roles within a B2B environment.
  • Experience of selling training programmes or apprenticeships to business is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Transport & Logistics is beneficial though not prerequisite.
  • Have a strong commercially focused & target driven approach.
  • Demonstrable success in generating leads, closing deals, and achieving targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
